Dear Planetary Health Changemaker,

Health professionals are on the front lines of a changing planet—treating the physical and mental toll of environmental disruption, often before its impacts appear in media or policy. But caring for patients in the Anthropocene requires more than responding to symptoms; it means understanding the planetary systems that shape health. This newsletter includes research and resources to equip health professionals to respond and use their voices as trusted messengers to promote change.

In the U.S., a new study offers a model to embed Planetary Health across all four years of medical training, from lectures and standardized patient cases to a dedicated Climate and Health elective. In Switzerland, the Swiss Planetary Health Education Network (PHUSE) published a national Planetary Health Core Curriculum for health professions, available online for institutions to adapt to their own contexts.

At the Alliance, we are building on this momentum through Clinicians for Planetary Health (C4PH), a network of medical practitioners advancing Planetary Health in their practice. This fall we will be launching a new webinar series designed to connect individual identity and purpose with collective action across the health sector. Look for registration information next month.
